Creedence Clearwater Revival - Have You Ever Seen The Rain Lyrics
Someone told me long ago theres a calm before the storm, I know; its been comin for some time. When its over, so they say, itll rain a sunny day, I know; shinin down like water.
Chorus: I want to know, have you ever seen the rain? I want to know, have you ever seen the rain Comin down on a sunny day?
Yesterday, and days before, sun is cold and rain is hard, I know; been that way for all my time. til forever, on it goes through the circle, fast and slow, I know; it cant stop, I wonder.
I was out cruisin', gettin' late and I was losin' When I saw you walkin' my way So nonchalant, I bet you get what you want But so do I and I ain't losin' today
Well your hips were swingin' and your jeans were clingin' You were driving me out of my mind On a hot afternoon when there's nothin' to do You're not the sort of thing a fellow should find
So I pulled on over, tossed your hair off your shoulder As you turned and you looked my way Oh you would have died or you'd have skinned me alive If I'd have said what I wanted to say
So bein' polite said what you doin' tonight You said it just so happens I'm free You got all the right curves and all the right words And that's alright by me
Oh Carol you got me eatin' my heart away, You got me countin' my nights and days Oh I'm floatin' on the milky way-ay-ay-ay, Oh Carol, nobody's done it before Oh baby you've opened the door, Oh Carol you can do it some more
Well if you're ready for this when we started to kiss She said hold on a minute or two Well naturally I knew it couldn't be me I said baby what's troublin' you She said I'm not sixteen if you know what I mean So we sat and we talked for a while But when we finally kissed you know she didn't resist And I must say she did it with style
Oh Carol you got me eating my heart away, You got me countin' my nights and days Oh I'm floatin' on the milky way-ay-ay-ay, Oh Carol, nobody's done it before Oh baby you've opened the door, Oh Carol you can do it some more - alright
Well I was out cruisin', gettin' late and I was losin' When I saw you walking my way So nonchalant, I bet you get what you want But so do I and I ain't losin' today
Oh Carol you got me eatin' my heart away, You got me countin' my nights and days Oh I'm floatin' on the milky way-ay-ay-ay, Oh Carol, nobody's done it before Oh baby you've opened the door, Oh Carol you can do it some more
Oh Carol you got me eatin' my heart away, You got me countin' my nights and days
Sally called when she got the word, And she said: "I suppose you've heard - About Alice". When I rushed to the window, And I looked outside, And I could hardly believe my eyes - As a big limousine rolled up Into Alice's drive...
Oh, I don't know why she's leaving, Or where she's gonna go, I guess she's got her reasons, But I just don't want to know, 'Cos for twenty-four years I've been living next door to Alice. Twenty-four years just waiting for a chance, To tell her how I feel, and maybe get a second glance, Now I've got to get used to not living next door to Alice...
We grew up together, Two kids in the park, We carved our initials, Deep in the bark, Me and Alice. Now she walks through the door, With her head held high, Just for a moment, I caught her eye, As a big limousine pulled slowly Out of Alice's drive.
Oh, I don't know why she's leaving, Or where she's gonna go, I guess she's got her reasons, But I just don't want to know, 'Cos for twenty-four years I've been living next door to Alice. Twenty-four years just waiting for a chance, To tell her how I feel, and maybe get a second glance, Now I gotta get used to not living next door to Alice...
And Sally called back and asked how I felt, And she said: "I know how to help - Get over Alice". She said: "Now Alice is gone, But I'm still here, You know I've been waiting For twenty-four years..." And a big limousine dissapeared...
I don't know why she's leaving, Or where she's gonna go, I guess she's got her reasons, But I just don't want to know, 'Cos for twenty-four years I've been living next door to Alice. Twenty-four years just waiting for a chance, To tell her how I feel, and maybe get a second glance, But I'll never get used to not living next door to Alice...
Now I'll never get used to not living next door to Alice...
Bonnie Tyler (born 8 June 1951 in Skewen, Neath, Wales) is a Welsh rock singer. Born Gaynor Hopkins, she is recognisable by her highly distinctive, husky voice.
Born to a family that included three sisters and two brothers, her father worked in a coal mine and her mother (an opera lover) shared her love for music with her children. She grew up listening to Motown music and female artists like Janis Joplin and Tina Turner.
In 1970, at age 19, she entered a talent contest, singing Mary Hopkin’s hit "Those Were the Days," but only came in second place. She then was chosen to sing in a band with front man, Bobby Wayneand were known as Bobby Wayne & The Dixies. Two years later, she formed her own band called Imagination and performed with them in pubs and clubs all over south Wales. It was then that she decided to adopt the stage name of Sherene Davies (she took these names from her niece and favorite aunt).
In 1973, she married Robert Sullivan, a real estate speculator. In 1975, she was discovered by Roger Bell, who arranged a recording contract for her with RCA Records. Before signing, she was asked to choose a different stage name, a process through which she finally became known as Bonnie Tyler.
In September 2006, Tyler made her first appearance on U.S. television in many years, as she sang a duet of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" with actress Lucy Lawless on the American show Celebrity Duets.
In 2007, a new Bonnie Tyler Greatest Hits collection, From the Heart, was released. A new studio album is also in the works. Also in 2007, Tyler contributed with a track, "I Don’t Know How to Love Him", for the charity record Over the Rainbow. Tyler mentioned in a recent interview[citation needed] that she will be working with Jim Steinman again for her next album.
In November 2008, Tyler sang a duet of "Making Love out of Nothing at All" with J.T.'s little cousin Matt Petrin.
In December 2008, Tyler appeared on the Irish television programme The Podge & Rodge Show on RTÉ 2.

Okay, so you're a rocket scientist That don't impress me much So you got the brain but have you got the touch Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night That don't impress me much
I never knew a guy who carried a mirror in his pocket And a comb up his sleeve-just in case And all that extra hold gel in your hair oughtta lock it 'Cause Heaven forbid it should fall outta place
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else
Okay, so you're Brad Pitt That don't impress me much So you got the looks but have you got the touch Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night That don't impress me much
You're one of those guys who likes to shine his machine You make me take off my shoes before you let me get in I can't believe you kiss your car good night C'mon baby tell me-you must be jokin', right!
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else
Okay, so you've got a car That don't impress me much So you got the moves but have you got the touch Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night
That don't impress me much You think you're cool but have you got the touch Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright But that won't keep me warm on the long, cold, lonely night That don't impress me much
Okay, so what do you think you're Elvis or something... Oo-Oh-Oh That don't impress me much!
Oh-Oh-Oh-Oh-No Alright! Alright!
You're Tarzan! Captain Kirk maybe. John Wayne. Whatever! That don't impress me much!
(When I first saw you, I saw love. And the first time you touched me, I felt love. And after all this time, you're still the one I love.) Looks like we made it Look how far we've come my baby We mighta took the long way We knew we'd get there someday
They said, "I bet they'll never make it" But just look at us holding on We're still together still going strong
(You're still the one) You're still the one I run to The one that I belong to You're still the one I want for life (You're still the one) You're still the one that I love The only one I dream of You're still the one I kiss good night
Ain't nothin' better We beat the odds together I'm glad we didn't listen Look at what we would be missin'
They said, "I bet they'll never make it" But just look at us holding on We're still together still going strong
(You're still the one) You're still the one I run to The one that I belong to You're still the one I want for life (You're still the one) You're still the one that I love The only one I dream of You're still the one I kiss good night
(You're still the one) You're still the one I run to The one that I belong to You're still the one I want for life (You're still the one) You're still the one that I love The only one I dream of You're still the one I kiss good night
Shania Twain - Don't Be Stupid (You Know I Love You) Lyrics
You're so complicated-you hang over my shoulder When I read my mail I don't appreciate it When I talk to other guys You think they're on my tail I get so aggravated when I get off the phone And I get the third degree I'm really feelin' frustrated Why don't you take a pill and put a little trust in me And you'll see
Don't freak out until you know the facts Relax
Don't be stupid-you know I love you Don't be ridiculous-you know I need you Don't be absurd-you know I want you Don't be impossible
I'm mad about you (I'm mad about you) Can't live without you (can't live without you) I'm crazy 'bout you (I'm crazy 'bout you) So don't be stupid-you know I love you
Stop overreacting You even get suspicious when I paint my nails It's definitely distracting The way you dramatize every little small detail
Don't freak out until you know the facts Relax-Max
Don't be stupid-you know I love you Don't be ridiculous-you know I need you Don't be absurd-you know I want you Don't be impossible I'm mad about you (I'm mad about you) Can't live without you (can't live without you) I'm crazy 'bout you (I'm crazy 'bout you) Don't be stupid-you know I love you
Don't be stupid-you're my baby
I'm mad about you (I'm mad about you) Can't live without you (can't live without you) I'm crazy 'bout you (I'm crazy 'bout you) Don't be stupid-you know I love you Don't be ridiculous-you know I need you Don't be absurd-you know I want you Don't be impossible

If it hadn't been for Cotton-Eye Joe I'ld been married long time ago Where did you come from where did you go Where did you come from Cotton-Eye Joe If it hadn't been...
If it hadn't been... If it hadn't been...
He came to town like a midwinter storm He rode through the fields so hansome and strong His eyes was his tools and his smile was his gun But all he had come for was having some fun
If it hadn't been... If it hadn't been...
He brought disaster wherever he went The hearts of the girls was to hell broken sent They all ran away so nobody would know and left only men cause of Cotton-Eye Joe
